If you own a tube preamp or modeling preamp, you may consider purchasing a tube stereo guitar amplifier to complete your rig. While some solid state/Class D amplifiers boast tube amp simulation, nothing can beat the dynamic range and interaction between a real tube power amp and a speaker cabinet. Fryette Amplification has been making stereo tube power amplifiers since 1989 and many of those original amps are still in use by the pros.
LXII Single Space Stereo Tube Power Amp
The world’s first 1-space all-tube 50W/channel power amplifier
The Fryette LX II Tube Stereo Power Amplifier has toured nationally with Chris Traynor (Bush), Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam), Stephen Carpenter and Chino Moreno (Deftones), Roy Lozano (Power Flo) and others during the artist-only beta release phase. Now this amazing amplifier is available worldwide!
With Fryette Power Amplifiers, it’s all about the feel. Once you hear a modeling amplifier with a real tube power amp pushing the speakers you’ll instantly understand why a digital signal path can’t duplicate the complex relationship between a power tube and the speakers.
Now you can hearand feelwhat that model is supposed to sound like!
Built on decades of experience producing the finest all-tube power amps available, the Fryette LX II is the world’s first one-rack-space all-tube 50-watt per channel power amp. It beautifully accentuates the inherent qualities of any preamp or modeling device and dynamically responds to your playing technique, the way a great guitar amp should.
The Fryette LX II represents the ultimate evolution of classic tube amplifier design with a Patented transformer technology that allows it to fit in a one-rack-space housing with high reliability and extremely quiet operation. It has been designed to last decades with only nominal maintenance.
Two/Ninety/Two Stereo Tube Power Amp
ThThe Two/Ninety/Two Stereo Power Amp has proven itself to be the standard for tube power performance not only in its own size and class, but against many power amplifiers boasting considerably higher output power.
Utilizing the same circuit design as the venerable Twenty One Fifty power amp, (used by Mick Mars of Motley Crue and Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots), the Two/Ninety/Two produces 90-plus watts per channel with four premium matched KT88 power tubes.
Tonally, the Two/Ninety/Two combines the rich upper harmonic detail of a classic EL34 amp with the clarity and lower midrange punch of a 6L6. In Low Power Mode, the Two/Ninety/Two delivers 60 effortless watts per channel into a 4, 8 or 16 ohm load. Using Low Power Mode allows for maximum power amp saturation with a low fan speed setting, ideal for studio recording where silent fan operation is essential. No other power amplifier available offers as much harmonic balance, wide open-dynamic delivery and powerful bottom-end response.
Two/Fifty/Two Stereo Tube Power Amp
Our small but mighty Two/Fifty/Two Stereo Power Amplifier is a dual channel 50-watt workhorse featuring a pair of premium matched EL34 power tubes in each channel and delivers up to 30% more useable output power than comparable tube power amplifiers. The custom made, precision wound output transformers are optimized for EL34 operation to produce a rich sonic palate, sumptuous tone and excellent dynamic range. Its well-ventilated chassis provides maximum airflow to the staggered, horizontally mounted power tubes. The rackmountable power amp's fan speed changes automatically from normal speed to high speed when Class A mode is engaged to ensure reliable performance under demanding conditions.
For over 30 years, Fryette power amplifiers have set the standard for sound quality, power and rugged reliability. The designs are straightforward and functional, the build quality is unmatched, and long-term roadworthiness is amply attested to by legions of touring bands that depend on them. With their Depth and Presence controls, Input Level and Voicing switches and switchable power modes, there's simply nothing comparable to these amazing pieces of pro-quality gear. Players and recording engineers tell us these are among the best-sounding power amps ever made.
